Donuts are available by subscription, with options ranging from 3 months to a full year. Donuts are available for delivery or pickup in the Chicago area the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month and also at special events and farmers' markets. We set out to make the best donuts
possible, and discovered a few things along the way.
First and foremost, we love cake and
believe yeast is better left to bread, so all our donuts are of the
cake variety.
Second, to make the best donuts, we had
to start with the best ingredients-for our taste buds, our bodies and
our earth.
So all of our ingredients are sourced from people who make
things irresistible to our palate and responsible to our planet.
Glazed donuts are made with 100% certified organic whole grains grown by
farmers less than 125 miles from Chicago.
We only use organic evaporated cane
juice along with other natural sweeteners like honey and brown rice
syrup. No ultra processed, overly sweet stuff here. Our donuts
contain no butter or animal fats, but instead contain responsibly
farmed palm oil shortening, one of the best fats for your body in
existence. Our donuts are fried in no trans-fat soybean oil and
typically absorb less than a teaspoon of oil in the cooking process.
Filled with fresh fruit, fiber and
protein, our donuts are about as healthy and eco-responsible as a
donut can get, which is great. But, our first priority is and
always has been taste. While most of our donuts are vegan, and
even possibly nutritious * gasp * we did these things because it
created a better tasting donut, not because it's trendy.
